Email blocklist checker
Check whether an IP address or a domain is on the blocklists mailbox providers use, and what each listing means.
Send from IPs that stay clean
Groundmail sends transactional mail only, from our own IP space, so your password resets never share an IP with bulk marketing. Dedicated IPs when you want a reputation that's yours alone.
IP lists and domain lists
IP blocklists (Spamhaus ZEN, SpamCop, PSBL, Mailspike, UCEPROTECT) list servers that sent spam or look like they shouldn't send mail directly. Domain lists (Spamhaus DBL, SURBL, URIBL) list domains that appear in spam, including in links.
Most listings come off on their own once the spam stops, or after a removal request on the list's own lookup page.

Questions
How do I know if my IP is blacklisted?
Enter the IP your mail is sent from. If you don't know it, send yourself an email, view the original and look at the first Received header, or use the email spam test, which finds it for you.
How do I get removed from a blocklist?
Fix what caused it first (a compromised account, a bad list, a form being abused), then request removal on the list's site. Spamhaus and most others remove quickly once the problem has stopped.
My IP is on UCEPROTECT Level 1. Does it matter?
Less than a Spamhaus listing. Few large mailbox providers use UCEPROTECT, but some corporate filters do.
Why does a list show 'didn't answer'?
Some lists refuse queries from large public DNS resolvers or rate-limit them. It doesn't mean you're listed; try again in a minute or check the list's own site.
