Email deliverability checker

Enter your domain to check everything a mailbox provider looks up before it trusts your mail: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX and the domain blocklists.

Fix this by sending through Groundmail

Add your domain and we give you the exact SPF, DKIM, DMARC and return-path records, check them for you, and sign every message with your own domain's key. Free for 3,000 emails a month.

Why these five

Gmail, Yahoo and Microsoft now require SPF, DKIM and DMARC from anyone sending in volume, and they check them on every message. MX records decide whether replies reach you, and a domain on a blocklist drags every message down, whichever server sends it.

This check reads your public DNS only. To see how a real message scores, including the IP it was sent from, use the email spam test.

Questions

What is email deliverability?

The share of your mail that reaches the inbox rather than spam or nowhere. It depends on authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), the reputation of your domain and sending IPs, and the content of the messages.

Why can't the checker find my DKIM key?

DKIM keys are published under a selector your provider picks, like google or s1. We try the most common ones; if yours is different, enter it in the DKIM selector field. You'll find it in your provider's DKIM settings or in the s= tag of a DKIM-Signature header.

How long do DNS changes take to show up?

Usually a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour depending on the record's TTL. Run the check again after you publish a fix.
